Narita to Tokyo not covered by JR Pass? 2023/11/5 00:35
Hello,

I am using the Japan rail Pass Calculator to check how much travel I have to do to take full advantage of a 7day JR pass.

When I enterer a trip from Narita to Tokyo, the calculator says that this trip is not covered.

Why is Narita to Tokyo tip not covered by the Japan Rail Pass?

Thank you
Roberto

It IS covered. Read the details here:
https://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2027.html

However, the JR options are neither the fastest nor the cheapest. I believe that is why the rail pass calculator is showing you some other options. In any case, the 1000-2500 yen you would be saving is unlikely going to make a big difference.

There are 2 train lines - JR and Keisei. Only the JR line trains are covered by the JR Pass.
