Hello, We will be arriving in Japan on Saturday April 6, 2024 and are planning the details. We have one major motors ports traveler so we are wondering if: 1. Is it possible to get a bus from Kyōto to Suzuka Circuit on Sunday to attend race day only? Or, is this an impossible day trip? 2. Another idea is -can we take the train from Osaka on Sunday morning, and then travel direct to Kyōto?
We wishe we could arrive earlier, but itfs not possible.Thank you

It will be very difficult to make a day trip to Suzuka Circuit from Kyoto (or Osaka) on the race day. Itfs at least a 3 hr trip each way. On the race day, the traffic will be a nightmare.
The best option is to spend the night before in places south of the circuit (like Tsu, Matsusaka, or Ise), because there will be less traffic from that direction.
Traffic coming from north (like Nagoya) may be manageable if you take the first train of the day. Going back to Nagoya after the race will be worse than morning rush hour traffic in Shinjuku.

Not directly answering, but I did attend Suzuka some years ago. The train station at the circuit is tiny and on a private line. Queues are long and the transport is really pretty terrible. I'm not sure how people leaving at the end of the race wouldn't wait hours for connections.
