Extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen

With the opening of the extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Tsuruga in 2024, has JR West indicated what they will do with the "One way ticket" for foreigners on the Thunderbird? It seems that travel from Kyoto to Kanazawa will now require a change at Tsurugu to the Shinkansen? So prices would have to increase for Kyoto to Kanazawa?
Given the reduction was roughly 1000yen, so $10AUD, not having the One Way special is not exactly a huge budget breaker

I don't think that an official announcement has been made.
Regular ticket prices will increase by a few hundred yen from Kyoto to Kanazawa. Over 1000 yen from Osaka to Kanazawa. The rail passes covering the Hokuriku Shinkansen will also see price increases.
My guess is that the the 1-way discount tickets will continue to be offered, but also undergo price increases.

I'm planning to use the Hokiriku Arch Pass for travel from 3/31/2024 thru 4/6. I'm hoping that I can purchase the pass at the current price (24500 yen) at the beginning of January. That should be possible, right?

Nothing official has been mentioned about the price increase, and it is still more than 3 months until the extension. But because the vouchers can be purchased up to 3 months in advance and then there is an additional 1-month period for the start date to be fixed, it looks like there may be ways to buy the pass for the old price and use it beyond March 16.
