Pocket WIFI from Tokyo work in Okinawa?

We�fll be staying on the main island for 2 weeks, then heading to Okinawa for a week, then back to Tokyo. Will the rented pocket WIFI we pick up in Tokyo also work in Okinawa? Do we have to return it at Tokyo airport and pick up another one in Okinawa?

You should check with the pocket WIFi service provider - though as far as I know, pocket wifis designed for a country should work anywhere in that country, though the signal strength might vary depending on the locations.

IT should work - but I do know that some providers don't allow for you to post it back from Okinawa due to the extra time needed to get it back
