itinerary - 12D11N Hokkaido

Our family of four are looking at travelling to hokkaido in end nov to early dec .

We are considering the option of self drive or via JR Rail/buses. Which would be a better option ?

Like to seek for recommendations on places to visit and things that we must see or visit.

Japanese Public Transport is better.You can buy Hokkaido rail pass 10 day= 32000 yen

End Nov to early Dec is an odd time to go to Hokkaido. Cold but likely no snow yet for skiing. Just saying.

If car or train depends on your specific itinerary. Potentially a mix is also possible. Ie car for a few days only.

Start here to get some ideas where YOU want to go. But as said late Nov /early Dec doesnft seem to be the best time for Hokkaido. Depending on what you want to do. Letfs say you are mainly interested in shopping and onsen then that time is fine. But for outdoor sightseeing or outdoor sports it seems an unpractical time.
