Itinerary Feedback: Trip in May

Family of four (two teenagers) taking first trip to Japan as a family (I have been twice before) in late May/early June.

Thoughts welcome on my draft itinerary!

Arrive Narita late afternoon.

Four nights in Shinjuku (plan to focus on Shinjuku and Shibuya)

Shinkansen to Kyoto

Five nights in Kyoto (two days in Kyoto, daytrip to Nara, daytrip to Osaka)

Shinkansen/JR to Nigoso

Two nights in onsen (Kiso Valley) on Nakasendo Trail

JR to Matsumoto

Three nights in Matsumoto (one day in town, one in Japanese Alps hiking)

JR to Yokohoma

Two nights in Yokohoma (day trip to Kamakura)

Flight out late from Narita

It all works. Kinda rushed though.

Sounds good to me. Not sure why @H was thinking this is rushed. You have multiple nights in all places. I am a relaxed traveler and this would work for me.
