Mid Feb is mid winter. Potentially lots of snow. So, if you don't have winter driving skills, don't drive in winter conditions! All these places are very well connected by public trabsportation.

Why would you drive? Train (and some bus) is faster and safer.

I thought of driving because we don't have to carry our luggage for our 15 day trip in and out train station.
Also with our car,we can drive around outkirts of town area.

The outskirts of these towns arenft interesting. The centers are. But there it is expensive to park.
Japan isnft a car country but a public transport country.
If you WOULD go to a lot of rural locations, yes , totally get a car. But with your itinerary a car will be slower, an obstacle in the cities and expensive to park.

Driving this route is a terrible idea for many reasons. Take the train and use luggage forwarding if necessary like everyone else smartly does.
