Kanazawa-Kyoto Travel (After mid-March)

Doing some reading, I came across that the Kanazawa-Tsuruga Shinkansen extension will be opening right before my trip end of March.

I am planning on doing a round trip from Kyoto to Kanazawa. Right now, it looks like the JR Thunderbird would do that trip directly without transfers in around 2 hours 15 min. Does anyone know what travel times would look like with the extension in place? From what I've gathered, I would need to transfer trains at Tsuruga so not sure if the 2 hour 15 min estimate would change with the faster service but with the transfer time?
