I have the following itinery:

7 May - arrive at Ngo in the morning, take the train to Takayama
8/5 - Takayama, day trip to Kamikochi
9/5 - Takayama, day trip to Shirakawago
10/5- train to Toyama
11/5 - Toyama, day trip to Kanazawa
12/5 - Toyama
13/5 - Kurobe Alpine route, ending the day at Kiso Valley/Nakatsugawa
14/5 - trek from Magome to Tsumago, train to Nagoya
15/5 - Ngo
16/5 - depart Ngo

The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine 8D kippu, Hida version seems worthwhile for my travel, am I correct? I am aware it does not cover trips to Kamikochi, Shirakawago & Kanazawa.

Can I purchase this kippu at the Nagoya airport or Nagoya Station?

How do I make reservation for the cable car ride at Tateyama if I were to use this kippu?

At JR Nagoya Station. Nagoya airport (Centrair) station is Meitetsu station. You must pay Centrair to Meitetsu Nagoya separately.

This is not restricted to foreign travelers. Basically this is for local people, but foreigners can also buy it.

You can backtrack in the alpine route area but not in two JR line areas.
