Trip plan to Tokyo , Tatsuno, Achi

Hi everyone,
I'm planning my first trip to Japan with my 8-year-old son in mid-June. Here's a rough outline of our itinerary:
June 15th: Arrive in Tokyo (likely in the evening).
June 16th: Travel to Tatsno to experience the firefly festival. Stay overnight.
June 17th: Head to Achi village for stargazing. Stay overnight.
June 18th: Return to Tokyo and spend the next 2-3 days exploring:
(Miraikan ,Panasonic Center,Nintendo store
or Mount Fuji trip in Fujikawaguchiko
June 20th: Depart for home.
Questions:
1.Will this itinerary be too tiring for my son?
2. Are there significant walking distances in Tatsno and Achi village (e.g., continuous 1-hour walks)? My son isn't a big fan of walking long distances.
3. Given it will be the rainy season in June, is stargazing a risky endeavor?
