Two Englishmen working with a Japanese tv company and sponsored by the Japan Tourist Board are setting out on a Japan Quest - finding the heart of Japan! I would suggest Kamuiwakka falls in hokkaido. I have not been to Japan yet, but I think the fact that its a natural hot spring waterfall is reason enough to check it out.

Take a look at Narai, a Kisokaido town. It's like stepping back into a Japanese print in the Edo period.

I strongly advise you to visit Himeji Castle. It is the Japanese version of Neushwanstein Castle and would meet the taste of British people.
