Traveling to Takayama from Kyoto in early January. Onsen recomendations in the area? We want to make the onsen the main point or our trip to the Takayama region (in addition to Shirakawago).

Limited Express Hida, which you take from Nagoya to Takayama, stops at Gero onsen about 1 hr before arriving Takayama.
