Hi, is the JR Kanku Rapid also known as the JR airport rapid service? Where can I purchase the tickets to go to Kansai airport. Do i have to buy in advance? Are the seats reserved? thank you.

On where to purchase, I would just purchase the ticket on whatever JR station you starting your day to the airport at so if you are starting your morning at Osaka Station get it at Osaka station, if starting at JR Tennoji get it at Tennoji etc etc, if you need to make a connection to JR from non JR then purchase the ticket when you make the transfer at whatever station you are transfering too.
No need to purchase it in advance since there is no additional fare or reserved seat.
