I live in Tokyo. I am going to be travelling to Kyoto-Hiroshima-Tokyo. Any advice on a special ticket? It will cost 41000 to do it without discount. Please help!

Gunter, I imagine the usual experts will arrive to give you the full answer in a few minutes or hours, but for now, here's a site on japan-guide with some possible discounts you may be able to take advantage of.

Also, could you go from Hiroshima to Kyoto to Tokyo? That seems to be a more direct route and thus cost a lot less.

It will cost 41000 to do it without discount.

Not sure where you get that figure from! Regular shinkansen tickets from Kyoto to Hiroshima to Tokyo will cost you around 30,000 yen.

So, if you do the trips within 7 days, I recommend to consider a 7-day Japan Rail Pass, although, note that you won't be able to ride a direct nozomi train from Hiroshima to Tokyo, but would rather have to transfer once along the way:
