JR Pass needed?

Hi experts!
My hubby and I will be travelling to Japan in November, and was wondering if we'd need to get a JR Pass. Last time we were in Japan for our honeymoon, we got a JR pass (we were travelling around Tokyo, Hakone, Takayama, Kyoto and bk to Tokyo).
This time round we are going to Osaka and Kyoto only from Kansai airport (and making side trips to Nara, Sagano/Arashiyama, Kobe). Do we need JR West pass? Many thanks!
