I'm a Japanese language student and even my teachers don't know what this means.. My first teach is a college kid studying japanese and the other is a native speaker.. Why can't they translate this?
Ikusen Kounen no Kodoku
they just go "Ughh, old Japanese" and say they don't know.. lol. Thanks for reading!

Ikusen Kounen no Kodoku The only phrase that comes to mind is: 幾千光年の孤独. It says "several thousand light-years of solitude."

Which by the way, is not old Japanese at all so I don't know why your native speaker friend said that.

I think he had trouble becuase he's a native speaker but left Japan young. He now lives in Hawaii and doesn't have friends to practice with. Maybe he's just rusty. He does say that he's horrible at Japanese.
Thank you for the answers
