im an overstayee and got married to a permanent visa holder, we have all the necessary papers to submit.its just i have no idea what is the visa picture size i need to submit. anyone please tell me because we want everything prepared before we went to the immigration office. thanks in advance.

Kenji I assume you are in Japan right now, any photoshop or any of those photography booths found near train stations are default for taking Visa photographs.

For me It is usually 4cm x 3cm photographs.

Kenji,

How long have you overstayed your last visa? If it is more than a month, then I presume you understand that you face a fairly complicated process to avoid deportation? You might want to get the help of an immigration lawyer.
