Doom / metal shows in Tokyo?

Hi -

We'll be staying in Shinjuku in Tokyo from 16 January 2008 until 24 January 2008. I'd love to see some good metal shows while there. Had really hoped that maybe I could see Ryokuchi or Corrupted, which are both phenomenal Japanese doom bands, though I recognize the odds are stacked against me.

Any good doom shows slated for January? Metal shows generally?

I'd also appreciate any tips anyone might have on good venues to see metal shows in Tokyo.

I also saw a few metal bands at a club called Anti knock in Shinjuku

Dark Tranquility and the Haunted are playing at O-East in Shibuya on Jan 18. You can find the venue info on the tokyogigguide site above.

In shinjuku, you can check out The Wall (http://www.livehouse-wall.com/wall/flame.html). I saw Sigh, Abigail, and some other thrash band there over the summer. Also saw Pelican and Envy at Earthdom in Shinjuku (http://www1.odn.ne.jp/shinjuku-dom/index.html/dom.html)
I'm not aware of anything coming there in the near future though.

I think I might check out The Haunted, as I missed their SF show earlier this year. Haven't heard much of their recent material, but thoroughly enjoy the first couple albums, and the novelty of seeing them in Japan is worth plenty.
