Kyoto - Cherry Blossom 2008 2007/11/13 20:51
Hi,

I planned to go kyoto during cherry blossom next year on 28/Mar - 9/Apr. Few questions:

1. How cold is the weather during this time? Is that warm enough to wear 2 layer of clothes and with wind breaker?

2. Is there any other flower blooming during cherry blossom that can be seen during this period?

3. Where can I see snow during this time?

Thanks

Hmm..I know that Western people tend to wear thinner clothes than Japanese but maybe this is too thin for early Spring. When cherry is in blossom, temperatre often drops to the extent that we need/want a warm jacket and gloves...

not all Western people are the same... 2007/11/16 19:14
It depends on the wind breaker- and also the person- some Western people might also think a light windbreaker would not be enough!

The weather is very changeable at that time of year. It may snow, or it may be up to 20 degrees. Bring layers.
