We will be going to Sendai,mid dec with our three kids aged 9,7,3.Can anyone advise where to stay somewhere around Sendai where the children could also see and enjoy snow.

I don't know how much proximity to sendai you have in mind but the most accesible ski resort is Omoshiroyama where is about 50 min. from sendai if you use JR Senzan line and the ski slope is just ahead of the station (to be open from dec. 9th.) Your children can enjoy sking or sleighing by renting tools there!
