Books on Tokyo, Japan and nearby areas 2007/11/20 21:59
Anyone know any good books to get to help with our trip to Tokyo and the surrounding areas? Things to do, help getting around, and stuff like that.

Thanks so much.

Hi
I normally use Lonely Planet.
There are good sites in Japan
though as well like
http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/
and http://www.tokyoessential.comI think.
You have checked out the JR rail sites and looked at good map of subways etc??.
I normally print map out.
Your hotel should offer good advice and maps if you ask.
Where else do you wish to visit?, and when?.
Remember winter is starting there.
Good luck

All you need to explore the city is the Tokyo City Atlas-a bilingual guide, and a compass and you're good to go.
