Only 1 Day Trip to Hakaone or Mt Fuji

Hi to All who have been,

Time constraint compelled us to make only 1 Day Trip.

Please guide us to make a correct decision for my kids sake.

Would it be more enjoyable for kids to experience the 5 modes of transport to Hakone or the bus ride to Mt Fuji. My kids aged 6 and 12 years. Will be travelling to either place on 17 Dec. It certainly make thing easier if there are snow in Mt Fuji 5th station.

I'd say Hakone. It's a full day trip, and very worth it. You get to see tons of stuff, and on clear days you can see Fujisan from several places. Lots of places to take pictures, buy souveniers, and eat. I've gone there on both on my trips.
