Hi Uji and anyone.
Can anyone reccommend an inexpensive ski resort nearest or cheapest for a day trip from Tokyo just to play snow?
We actually do not know skiing, so the techincal aspect does matter. We want something similar to Naeba resort, but it sounds like an expensive day trip for 2 adults 1 child 5 yrs old, just to play snow.
Can you guys pick a place for us? period 22-25 Dec. day trip or one night. One from below or any other place. Cheap but good. - Gala Yuzawa - Naeba Resort - Fujiten - etc.
For your info.we will go one night to kawaguchiko. Is there any ski resort convenient to further to? The bus does not run to the 5th station; so we miss it.
Appreciate any advice. Thanks

Then you should go to Fujiten! It is only a 20 minute taxi ride from Kawaguchiko Station.

What do they mean by fake snow?If there is a lack of natural snow. It is possible for the region not to get enough natural snow, then they will use snow cannons to produce snow artifically. It is still real snow, just man made: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_cannonHow much is a taxi cost from the station?I estimate about 2500 to 3000 yen one way.

Most ski resorts supplement real snow with "fake" snow. It keeps the surface nice an powdery.
