"No school" holidays in Japan?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering, are there any holidays (besides Golden Week) from April-June where schools take the day/days off?

I'm studying in Japan in the Spring, but I plan to return to the USA for a few days during April-June. I don't want to miss the festivals during Golden Week though, so does anyone know if there are other breaks during that time?

I don't know what kind of school you're refering to but most schools (high schools, colleges) have Spring holidays from the end of March to several days in the 1st week of April.

Aside from Golden Week, there's no holidays during April-June period.

Thanks for answering, JLady. I'm going to a University next Spring, so I was thinking of a good time to travel & not miss class.
