〜目に会う is generally used for negative/bad experience, i.e. ひどい目に会う, 辛い目に会う、散々な目に会う.
have experienced can be expressed with 「〜した (= verb, past tense) ことがある」 e.g. 人前で歌ったことがある have experienced singing in public.
Negation is 〜ことがない My attempt of your translation is: 歌ったことがないのかもね。
