Is this how it is used? To say : When I want to japan I meet friends. Nihon ni ikitta toki tomodachi ni aimasu dontknow the ta form of iku.
And this is correct? When I did that I was five sore o shitta toki boku wa 5 sai desu. thanks

: When I want to japan I meet friends. -Do you mean to say that when you went to Japan, you met your friends(nihon ni itta toki, tomodachi ni aimashita, or when you go to Japan, you will meet your friends(nihon ni iku toki, tomodachi ni aimasu)?
:When I did that I was five sore o shitta toki boku wa 5 sai desu. -sore o shita toki boku wa 5 sai deshita.
