Shinkansen+ lift ski pass

I heard of a shin +ski lift pass From Tokyo to Gala Yuszwa and to Karuizawa.

Can anyone advise the price like 8400 for Yusawa or 7600 for Karuizawa is a one way or return and if there is any blackout dates?

I plan a day trip on 23rdDec or 26Dec.

JR offers the following tickets:

Gala Higaeri Kippu (Gala Day Trip Ticket)
includes the round trip by shinkansen and a 1 day lift pass for Gala Yuzawa ski resort for 11,700 yen on weekdays, 13,000 yen on weekends and holdiays and 10,900 yen during the shoulder season.

Various travel agencies also offer various other shinkansen & ski package deals.

I read from the snowjapan from a skier. I guess the 8400 JPY is then perhaps just a one way shin +ski pass or a pre-winter rate.

Then as you suggested once in other thread, just a visit to Fujiten ski resort from my plan to stay at the Kawaguchi ko is fine.

those prices you quoted earlier are closer to the roundtrip shinkansen fares not including lift tickets.

Before you go just check if the resort you are going to is open for Skiing. I just came down from North Japan and there had not been a lot of snow yet so many places were not open.
