Hi - I may be staying in Tokyo for a week and was wondering if the cost of frames & lenses is cheaper than the UK. Could anyone tell me approx cost of good quality frames and standard lenses? Many thanks

If you buy designer's glasses, then the prices will be similar. But we have good chain stores(opticians) that sell good quality glasses at reasonable prices. One of them is called Megane-ichiba, which can be found throughout the country. They sell every good, fashionable pair of glasses at 18900yen flat.
