Hi, I will be in Japan from 15th to 25th of January 2008 staying in Kyoto and Tokyo. I also want to spend one night somewhere close to the jigokudani snow monkeys in a ryokan or Japanese style hotel. I was wondering what the weather will be like and what type of clothing I should pack? Thanks for any help!

The weather will be around freezing with a chance of snow, although on some days it can also be quite mild. I recommend to bring a warm coat, scarf, cap and gloves.
