Hair Dryer & Straightener from Canada? 2008/1/23 03:40
I've been trying to find this information for a while now, and keep coming up empty handed. Even gone as far as contacting the companies, just to get nowhere.

I'm looking to bring a hair dryer and straightener purchased in Canada back to Japan (Fujisawa). I'm wondering if I will be needing a converter or just a simple outlet changer.

The dryer has this information on it. 125VAC 60Hz 1875W. Haven't bought the straightener yet, just in case neither will work.

Thank you in advance!

You should have no problems.. dont worry about a converter or such because its not necessary. i have used many cdn appliances in japan and vice versa.

Thank you both for responding. This was exactly what I needed.

I've gone through a lot of places looking for this info, mostly just coming up with information on other voltages (220+).

Thanks again for answering, it is greatly appreciated.
