Car rental Takayama

Can anyone tell me if there is a car rental company at Takayama station (preferably) or in the town. Many thanks

Yes, Uji, that's what I thought but Nippon and one other I have contacted said they don't. I now see that Eki rent a car do, can't find an email or fax for them and the world eki net site not working tonight. If anyone knows an (english) email for Eki, I would appreciate it.

We rented a car in Takayama via Toyota; they are directly in front of the Takayama station.
I had no problem renting a car there with an International Driving License and we had reserved in advance via the Internet: http://rent.toyota.co.jp/rental/main55.asp

BTW, I made a reservation through ToCoo! in Okinawa and it went fairly well. I did have a bit of a problem making it know what I wanted as the location was also a dealership. Ended up using an Japanese-English translation program on the internet to communicate. Worked out well from there.
