Hanamiyama Koen in Fukushima

A friend has told me that the Hanamiyama Koen in Fukushima is one of the best spots for cherry blossoms viewing in spring. Is it really worth going? When would be the best time to go? Will the cherry blossoms be in full blooms around mid-April?

I have not been there and can't judge whether it is worth the effort. In the usual year, the best time to go is in mid April, but it is too early to make forecasts for this year.

They don't have forecast posted yet but it says ..will be posting forecast at the beginning of March for 2008 on this site. Keep checking here.
