Recommended Hakone 2008/2/5 15:13
I am going to visit Hakone.
I found some informations in this Japan-guide where give me very good information, but it seem hard to image in some parts. I would like to know
1. I heard that there is a black egg (boiled egg in hot spring). I am not sure if it is correct name or not. Do you have any idea? How can i find it?
2. Who did go to there before? I think a guy who used to visit there should give me more clearly.

Thank you very much for your kindness

I have been there before. The eggs can be bought in the Owakudani area:

I was in Hakone 2 years ago. It was beautiful and well worth the visit.
As already mentioned the black eggs can be bought at Owakudani, this is the sulfer mines and was amazing to see if you can handle the smell.
There are lots of boat tours in Hakone as well and I can recommend doing some of the ropeway tours up the mountains.
Have fun

Hakone Free Pass 2008/2/5 22:06
Yes, there's no free pass for one day.
You need to buy the 2 days pass.

If you plan to buy JR pass, you may buy Hakone free pass from Odawara.
No need to buy from Shinjuku as you can take JR from Tokyo Station to Odawara Station (JR Tokaido Line).

See more from this.
