Kyoto Accommodation during Miyako Odori

Planning to visit Kyoto end or march to beginning of april. However, I know that beginning of April Kyoto holds the Geisha's Miyako Odori performance. My concern is would Kyoto be full and difficult to book accommodation during that time? How much is the performance, anyway?

The cherry blossoms rather than the Miyako Odori is the main reason for Kyoto to often being booked out in late March and the first half of April, especially on Saturday nights.
