NEX- Reserved Seats? 2008/2/12 06:23
Hello everbody,

we're going to Tokyo in about a weeks time and are planning to take the NEX to Tokyo station, We will get railpasses. Can they be used, or is the NEX, like e.g. Nozomi, an exception? And if they can...how can we reserve seats, as all seats are reserved only, aren't they? I guess usually a ticket is combined with a reservation, but as we already have tickets (railpass) how do we get the reservation? Does it cost anything? Haven't found anything on this issue so your help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

The NEX can be used!

Yes, al seats are reserved only. You get the reservation at the ticket counter. In your case, you can get them at the same time when you exchange your voucher to the rail pass.

At the ticket counters. You can get "seat reservation" tickets. They are free for Japan Rail Pass holders.
