Hi,
I was wondering if there were any reccomendations for youth hostels in Tokyo, around the Tokyo Station or Shinjuku Station area? I'm on a relatively tight budget but I would rather not have to resort to capsule hotels.

Tokyo station is in the business heart and close to Ginza, 2 expensive areas. There are quite a few hostels in Asakusa, a good location full of atmosphere. Check Asakusa hostels in the "search this site" window at the top left of this page. Check also www.japanhotel.net and click on Ueno/Asakusa
