i wonder whether a japan hotel also has a star standard or not, from 0 to 5. Because i couldn't find this infomation in its own website.
if there is, how can i ask them in Japanese?...i will send them by mail but i just don't knw what to say. =w=

No, there is no such official standard in Japan. The price level pretty much corresponds to the stars. Something like the following:
5 stars: Over 40,000 Yen 4 stars: Over 20,000 Yen 3 stars: Over 10,000 Yen
This is just my personal opinion.

Many business hotels under yen 10 000 have higher standards that some of the hotels and motels in Europe and North America in that price range: air conditioning (that also heat in cold weather) a toilet /bidet combination, LAN in the room, etc.
