Anyone, starting from Yasaka Shine, can you give me an idea how to walk covering Gion area and Pontocho, and Kawaramachi-dori and end at Kyoto Station where I stay?

Basically, walk along Shijo Street.
In Gion, don't miss Hanami-koji Street (side street from Shijo Street) and the canal lined Shirakawa street (parallel to Shijo Street).
Pontocho is also a side street from Shijo Street.
You can get good city maps at Kyoto Station.

you can also get internet maps of Kyoto and even have a look at Kyoto from up in the air with Goggle earth. when you zoom low enough the main sightseeing places will appear on the city.
