hi:
I have read hiking is only recommended in June to August.
I was thinking fo hiking it the 7th of april, in the night.
Do you absolutely discourage me from doing so?
I am in shape, but i do not want to take too many risks, specially since i will be in Japan for 40 days and Mt Fuji is the beginning.

There is still a lot of snow on top of Mt. Fuji, so you would need the required gear- ice-axe, crampons, maybe ropes, in order to climb safely.
It is not realistic to climb at night when the mountain is still covered in snow, not to mention that daytime temps would still be well below zero- night time would be absolutely freezing.
Unless you have ice-climbing experience, I'm afraid this is the wrong time of year to be climbing.
