Lake Towada and Oirase Stream

I will be in Aomori late April this year and was wondering how I can visit Lake Towada and Oirase Stream:

1)Will one day be sufficient to cover these 2 places?

2)How do I get from Aomori station to these two places?

3)Which should I visit first? Lake Towada or Oirase Stream?

Would deeply appreciate your help!

1) It is OK, sufficient.

2) Take the Bus 'Mizu-umi' to Lake Towada from Aomori JR station.

3) Lake Towada should be first. The Bus 'Mizu-umi' will stop Lake Towada. You have to take another bus or walk to go to Oirase.

I plan to be there this coming autumn.

Will you be there by yourself?
From 2 persons I would strongly advice to rent a car from hirosaki.

I'll go there with my wife. We plan to use JR Bus which is valid with JR Rail Pass.
