From Hakone to Gotemba

Hi everyone, I tried searching for ways to get from Hakone to Gotemba, but am confused... I am staying in Hakone for one night and planning to get to Grinpa the next day.

I found one route that required going back to Odawara station and then taking a train to Gotemba. Then, I saw in this forum that some buses pass through Hakone.

Which is a better way? Has anyone tried travelling from Hakone to Gotemba? Grinpa is quite troublesome as we still need to catch the one and only morning bus :(

It depends on where in Hakone you are located. But taking a bus to Gotemba Station and then the bus to Grinpa sounds to be the best solution.

Note that there are only two buses per day from Gotemba to Grinpa. Access by public transportation to Grinpa is extremely bad:
