Travelling from Japan to China 2008/4/21 23:16
As a non japanese citizen staying in Japan for one week, what do I need to travel from Japan to China. Is it possible to issue a visa for a foreign tourist in Japan who plans to travel to China?

Seems obtaining a Chinese visa is getting harder and harder now.

Get a visa for China before departing from your home country, from the nearest Chinese consulate or embassy. The procedure will vary depending on your nationality - this site isn't going to be the place to look.

visa 2008/4/23 21:44
I'm a foreigner living in Japan and had to get a visa to visit China last year. This involves going to the embassy in Tokyo, waiting a long time, and then having to come back 4 days later to pick it up. There were some travellers there also who were in Japan for a week or two and travelling onto China, but what a hassle! I definitely recommend getting a visa before you leave your ome country. You don't want to spend your time in Japan looking for and waiting at the chinese embassy!

I decided to stop all these inconvenient headaches I'm suffering because of the visa issuing thing. I'll avoid going to China from Japan. Thank you guys for your replies.
