One day in Kagoshima

I'll be visiting Fukuoka in July and was wondering if 1 day would be enough time to check out the follwoing sites in Kagoshima. I will leave Hakata Station early enough to arrive in Kagoshima by 9:00.
1. Senganen 2. Kagoshima Prefectural Museum of Culture 3. Museum of Meiji Restoration 4. Kinko Togei (for some Satsuma-yaki) 4. Mt. Sakurajima 5. Chiran - Samurai Lane & Gardens 6. Furusato OR Ibusuki Onsen
Is this itinerary doable? Is there anything not worth seeing?
Also, I will be going with 2 other people, 1 of whom isn't too keen on the idea of the traditional onsen, which is why Furusato Onsen is an option. Is it nice?
Thanks!

In order to arrive in Kagohima by 0900 you would have to leave Hakata by 0600 as its as 2 1/2 hour trip by train.

This is utterly impossible in a single day. I recommend at least two full days, especially if you plan to get around the Satsuma Peninsula by public transportation.

Thanks! I figured as much. I had actually set aside 2 days for Kagoshima, but was hoping beyond hope that maybe it could be done in 1.
