My husband and I will be arrived on April 30th to Tokyo until May 6th. We found out that it is actually a golden week. Is it still a good idea to go to Nikko for a day trip on May 3rd?

May 3 will be the busiest day of the Golden Week. Bad timing. May 1 or 2 should be considerably less crowded.
