Travelling in Tokyo 2008/5/1 08:09
Hi,

I am traveling to Japan in May and have the following schedule in mind. I will be staying close to the Ueno station and will have the JR pass and 1500 of the Suica card. Can someone please advise how to get between each location and how long it takes please.

Ueno to the Tsukiji fish market
Tsukiji fish market to Sensoji
Sensoji to Imperial Palace
Imperial Palace to Ginza
Ginza to Hammamatsuco bus terminal

Also is Roppongi a happening place on a week day night?

How do I get from Tokyo to Roppongi to Ueno.

Any good restaurant you recommend near the fish market for breakfast.

All replies are appreciated.

Thanks in advance

By the looks of your schedule, you will ONLY be staying around the Tokyo area, so you will NOT need a JR Rail Pass.
Or have you missed out the longer distance travel? (e.g. Kyoto, etc)

You could also Google JR Yamanote line at: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamanote_Line to find info on a loop line that goes around Downtown Tokyo. Even if you don't use it, have a look at the map and the list of stations, with access to various subways, as this will show you where all the areas you are worrying about are located in relation to one another.

I also suggest you look at a map, so you know where these places are. Tsukiji is very close to Ginza (within walking distance). Imperial palace is not too far from Ginza either, so I would do that before going to Sensoji, which is out of the way from there.
For Roppongi you could use the Hibiya subway line.
