How do I travel from Kyoto to JR Gero Station using the JR Rail pass only?

1) Take the JR Tokaido Shinkansen (hikari or kodama) from Kyoto to Nagoya
2) Take the JR Hida limited express train from Nagoya to Gero Onsen
