I will be spending a day at Hakone on my way from Tokyo to Nagoya. Should I buy the Hakone Freepass? Is there a place within Hakone Yumoto Station to safe-keep my luggage while I am sight-seeing? Thanks.

Should I buy the Hakone Freepass?
Depends on how much travel you want to do inside the Hakone area. If you just travel to the lake an back, for example, you pay less by paying for single tickets, but if you travel more, for example, along the classic round course, the Hakone Free Pass will pay off.
Is there a place within Hakone Yumoto Station to safe-keep my luggage while I am sight-seeing?
It is probably easier to leave your luggage in a locker at Odawara Station.
