Can anyone tell me if I should try Kagura or Tateyama for the best snow in late May?Prefer a place where my daugter can play around with the snow but not too much walking to get to as now a bit weak on the legs at this moment after an operation.Thanks

Kagura, the ski resort in Niigata? Not only is it difficult to get to, but there might not be any snow anymore. I would rather recommend the Tateyama Alpine Route, where there will be still be lots of snow, although, the snow will probably be quite hard already. It might be impossible to find beautiful powder snow anywhere in Japan in late May:
