The roads (and tunnels) are narrow, so I would not call it the easiest road to drive, but it does not pose a major problem to the experienced driver, either.

About 2 hours from Takayama to Ogimachi in Shirakawago.

This is in the Gokayama area, Toyama Prefecture. It is less conveniently accessible than Ogimachi in Shirakawago. There is a bus between Ogimachi and Takaoka in Toyama (about 4 round trips per day).
