Tour guides Tokyo and Kyoto

My husband and I will be traveling to Japan in August for a week. During that time we will be in Kyoto and Tokyo for 2 days each. We know there is so much to see, so we plan to do at least a 1 day organized guided tour in each city.

Can anyone recommend a good English speaking tour or private guide?

In my opinion, you don't need a tour guide. Go explore this wonderful city yourself, this way you'll be able to blend in more to its environment and culture. Here's my itinerary for tokyo for your reference:
